 Normal life has been severely hit in Bihar due to Heavy rains continue across the north- eastern parts of India worsening the flood situation, which has left lakhs of people displaced in Bihar, Assam and a few other north-eastern districts. Large scale damage has been reported from Sheohar, East Champaran, Purnea, Darbhang and Kishanganj. Homes have been damaged, farmers’ crops have been destroyed, and power supply is disrupted in several areas. Communities have been rendered homeless with no food, shelter, essentials, or medical care.

Jeevan Jyoti has immediately gone on-ground with provision of emergency medical relief at relief camps and distribution of relief kits, i.e. dry rations & essential non-food items. Your donation will help us provide relief to many more affected elders and communities, in their time of urgent need.
There is a need of supplying shelter, medicines and emergency food supplies especially to older people who are among the most vulnerable during natural disasters.

The elderly also are more susceptible to the vagaries of nature as they are frail and much slower in getting relief or help available. Their immune system too is weaker which makes them easy victims to the cold and bad weather.
